The model
Read full reviewThe Superb Estate is a truly fabulous thing. For a start, it's absolutely massive, so it has the practicality base covered. Yet it's far from a one-trick pony, proving pretty comfy, nicely made, well equipped and great value for money. If you can forego a premium German or Swedish badge, it's a spankingly good estate car.
The trim
See full equipmentSE L is our pick of the range because it's reasonably priced and adds plenty of kit to the SE Technology package, including 18in alloy wheels, full matrix LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, dynamic indicators, keyless entry and an electrically operated boot.
The engine
See full engine specsWith 148bhp the 1.5 TSI 150 has enough poke to match the 2.0 TDI 150 from 0-62mph (in 9.2sec for the record). You have to work it harder up hills than the diesel, but it has the requisite oomph if you're not always carrying heavy loads or towing. It's also smooth, reasonably fuel efficient and pretty good on company car tax. If you're on a budget, it's well worth a look.
