Category: Estate car
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Skoda Superb Estate is pretty comfortable, well equipped, great value for money and one of the roomiest modes of transport going. If you can forego a premium German or Sweedish badge, it's a spankingly good all-round estate car.

See full equipmentSE L trim brings 18in alloy wheels, full matrix LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, dynamic indicators, keyless entry and start and an electrically operated boot.
The engine
See full engine specsThis petrol engine is a sensible choice. With 148bhp it has enough poke to match the 2.0 TDI 150 from 0-62mph (in 9.2sec for the record) and while you have to work it harder up hills than the diesel, it has the requisite oomph if you're not always carrying heavy loads or towing. It's also smooth, reasonably fuel efficient and pretty good on company car tax.
