Visibility is good thanks to the lofty seating, but the flat chairs don’t offer much support through corners. Most of the switchgear is chunky and logically placed, although the stereo has too many fiddly buttons. The large centre console can dig into the driver’s leg.
Ssangyong Kyron 4x4 space & practicality
There’s plenty of headroom throughout the Kyron, but rear legroom is a little tight. Much more impressive is the mammoth 625-litre boot, which has lashing points and a small underfloor compartment so you can hide valuables. Fold the 60/40 split rear seats and luggage capacity increases to 1222 litres.
Ssangyong Kyron 4x4 equipment
Entry-level models come with air conditioning, four electric windows, 16-inch alloy wheels and a CD player. The lead-in 2.0 S is two-wheel drive, and the SE four-wheel drive, as well as adding traction control. On top of that, EX versions add side airbags, parking sensors, 18-inch alloys, an uprated audio system and leather upholstery, and the range-topping 2.7 SPR has speed-sensitive power steering.
