The model
Read full reviewThe Ssangyong Tivoli is decent for the money, but massively outclassed in terms of space, efficiency and comfort by pricier small SUVs, including the Ford Puma, Skoda Kamiq and Volkswagen T-Roc. The Dacia Duster also outclasses it in several ways, while being more efficient to run and cheaper to buy outright.
The trim
See full equipmentVentura spec helps to bring the Tivoli into contention with its rivals by upgrading the infotainment package and offering an 8.0in colour touchscreen. It may not be quite as good as the best systems in its class but it’s certainly a step-up. You’ll also get leather-look seats, which help to add a touch of class to the interior.
The engine
See full engine specsWith 160bhp, the 1.5l petrol is certainly a step-up from the entry-level engine. This turbocharged unit is more responsive from low revs and offers a generally nicer driving experience. It's the best of the two petrol engines offered with the Tivoli but is still more expensive to run than similar small SUVs.
