Review

The Toyota bZ4X is a fine all-round electric SUV, especially in mid-spec Motion trim with front-wheel-drive (there's a 4x4 option too). It's good to drive, roomy in the back and reasonably priced by electric-car standards, plus you get a 10-year warranty on the battery if you take your car to a Toyota dealer for an annual health check.

Even entry-level Pure models are fairly well equipped, with 18in alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and start, a pre-conditioning system for the interior and a heat pump to improve range in colder conditions (this is an option on most competitors, including the EV6) fitted as standard. We'd still recommend stepping up to Motion trim, though.
