Introduction

What Car? says...

Pop your head out of your front door or peer out of the window and count how many SUVs you see. Now, count how many of them are Toyota Land Cruisers. Not many? We didn’t think so.

Okay, so we know people like SUVs – after all, they are practical and help you stand out from the crowd. But, of them all, the Land Cruiser seemingly has the rarity that helps it stand out the most.

So should you buy one? Well, it’s big, roomy and comes with three or five doors and five or seven seats. If you go by Toyota’s legendary reliability and the Land Cruiser’s ubiquity in every hostile desert in the world, it should prove to be a tough, go-anywhere off-roader, too.

Should you choose one over more modern SUV interpretations, ranging from more luxurious options such as the BMW X5 and Land Rover Discovery to the less expensive Skoda Kodiaq? Keep on reading over the next few pages and we’ll give you the answer.

Or if you’ve decided the Land Cruiser is for you, head over to our deals page, where you’ll find the very best price available.
