The Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport offers competitive pricing and running costs, but most of its rivals are better to drive and more appealing overall

Trim: Elite

Elite is the luxury-focused trim level of the Insignia, and it comes piled with standard equipment. You get dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, and electric folding door mirrors. Unfortunately, Elite models come at a fair premium – and they also get 18in alloy wheels, which do little for the Insignia’s comfort or stability on motorways.,
