The model
Read full Volkswagen Arteon reviewThe Volkswagen Arteon is good to drive, stylish and amazingly practical when considered in the company of other coupés, and even some saloons in the executive car class. It's not as dynamic to drive as a BMW 3 or 4 Series or as beautifully finished inside as an Audi A4 or A5, but it is comfortable, well equipped and relatively affordable to run as a private or company car. Just make sure you get a good deal if you're paying outright because the depreciation is worse than anything with a premium badge.
The trim
See full equipmentThis trim is really about racier detailing inside and out, but you also get privacy glass, ambient interior lighting, 19in alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof. It's expensive and you lose the blind-spot monitoring and rear-view camera that comes with the cheaper Elegance trim.
The engine
See full engine specsThe range-topping 197bhp diesel engine that will hit 0-62mph in 7.9sec, although we’re yet to drive it.
