Review

The Volkswagen Golf SV is a good MPV, but it’s hard to forget that a Golf Estate is more spacious and the T-Roc is more stylish

Trim: Match Edition

Engine: 1.5 TSI EVO 150

Available only in the most expensive GT trim, this engine pulls hard from low revs and builds speed in a very progressive way. It remains near-silent at cruising speeds, too, helped by its ability to shut down cylinders when they’re not needed. This also means it can top 50mpg in real-world conditions.
