A competent electric SUV that comes with plenty of kit, a decent range and an excellent safety score. There are stronger rivals though, including the Genesis GV60, Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y and Volvo C40 Recharge, which are faster, smarter inside, have much better infotainment systems and take less time to charge.

Entry-level Style trim comes packed with kit, including 19in alloy wheels, a panoramic roof, three-zone air conditioning, heated front seats, a wireless phone charger, plus the handy Matrix LED headlights, a reversing camera, and front and rear parking sensors.

The 201bhp ‘Pro Performance’ accelerates quickly enough for most, with an official 0-62mph time of 8.4sec. That's still quite a lot slower than any Kia EV6, though, let alone a Tesla Model Y Long Range. Official range is 313 miles.
