The model
Read full Volkswagen T-Roc reviewIf you avoid the pricier trims and engines, the T-Roc is a fine buy. Not only is it refined and spacious, but it's also one of the most comfortable cars in the class.
The trim
See full equipmentTop-tier R-Line trim is the most expensive rung on the T-Roc ladder, so it’s hard for us to recommend. If, however, you want the sportiest T-Roc (not including the T-Roc R), R-Line trim adds sportier R-Line styling, sports seats, stiffer sports suspension, switchable driver profiles and heated front seats.
The engine
See full engine specsIf you fancy a bit more vim and vigour – or maybe you carry lots of passengers and luggage – it's well worth looking at the 148bhp 1.5 TSI 150. This is noticeably quicker than the 1.0-litre, cutting around two seconds off its 0-62mph time, while providing more overtaking opportunities with less stress and fewer gear changes. Also, it brings the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. You cannot have that with the 1.0 TSI 110.
