Volkswagen T-Roc 2.0 TDI 150 EVO R-Line 5dr Review

The model
Read full reviewIf you avoid the pricier trims and engines, the Volkswagen T-Roc is a fine buy. Its soft ride makes it one of the most comfortable cars in the class, while its spacious interior and big boot will appeal to families. Also, its high-set driving position is just what SUV buyers crave – and something many other small SUVs fail to deliver.
The trim
See full equipmentTop-tier R-Line trim is the most expensive rung on the T-Roc ladder, so it’s hard for us to recommend. If, however, you want the sportiest T-Roc (not including the T-Roc R), R-Line trim adds sportier R-Line styling, sports seats, stiffer sports suspension, switchable driver profiles and heated front seats.
The engine
See full engine specsIf you like the sound of the 2.0 TDI 150 engine but want some extra confidence in wet and icy weather, this version with added 4Motion four-wheel drive could be for you. It’ll cover 0-62mph ever-so slightly faster but economy suffers compared to the other versions, reducing the figure to 51mpg. It’s also expensive compared to the other engine choices, so it’s hard for us to recommend it.
