Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace 2.0 TDI 4Motion Elegance 5dr DSG Review
Category: 7-seater
Section: Version review

The Tiguan Allspace has all the positive traits of the five-seat Tiguan but adds a bigger boot and two extra seats. It’s expensive, though, so we’d stick with the standard Tiguan unless you need seven seats.
The trim
See full equipmentIf you want your Tiguan Allspace with the most luxury possible, Elegance is the one for you. That trim comes with all the Life trim toys but adds 19in alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, a rear-view camera, heated front seats, heated rear seats, independent rear climate control, heated windscreen washer jets, a heated steering wheel and wireless smartphone-charging.
The engine
See full engine specsThe 2.0 TDI diesel offers 148bhp and is all that most people will need, offering plenty of low down shove and a good balance between economy and performance. You can have the 2.0 TDI 150 with either a DSG automatic or a manual gearbox. The automatic changes gears smoothly but can be hesitant when you pull off or need a sudden burst of power.
