Smart Brabus Fortwo Cabrio

A new pair of Smart Fortwo special editions has been launched, including a cut-price version of the higher-performance Brabus.

The Fortwo Nightrun is powered by the same 74bhp engine as the top-of-the-range Brabus but is finished in entry-level Pure trim, with a price-tag of £10,425. This is a saving of £2003 over the Brabus, although just 70 of the cars will be sold

The Brabus-tuned engine gets the Smart from rest to 60mph in 12.3sec, which is 6sec faster than the standard 50bhp Fortwo coupe. It goes on to a top speed of 93mph.

Anti-lock brakes, traction control and electric windows are standard, but air-conditioning and alloy wheels are on the options list.

The 61bhp Fortwo Truestyle is available as a coupe for £7495 and in cabriolet guise for £9240, which up to £330 more than the Pure model it is based on. Both cars are finished in an exclusive red metallic paint finish, which is not available as an option on other Smarts. Other metallic paint colours can be specified on standard models for £200. Smart will sell no more than 300 Truestyles.
