Nissan Leaf prices cut by 2500

The list price of the Nissan Leaf has been slashed by 2500, the manufacturer has announced.
The price cut is immediate, and means the all-electric Leaf is now available from 23,490, once the Government's 5000 low-carbon grant is taken into account. This means the pre-grant list price has dropped from 30,990 to 28,490.
Nissan has also cut the cost of its personal contract purchase (PCP) scheme to 239 a month, based on a deposit of 3500 and a 6.9% interest rate. Previously the PCP payments were 299 a month after a 5000 deposit.
The Leaf comes with plenty of equipment, including rear-view parking camera, rapid charge capability, Intelligent Key, LED headlamps, sat-nav and Bluetooth.
Leaf production will start at the company's Sunderland factory in the spring, but this new price applies to imported cars. The UK-built car is expected to come with a lower entry-level trim, which will reduce the price further.
