    My car

What a fun car to drive - even for a six-footer.

I agree with other reviewers about wet weather - the car doesn't always feel safe. The hood is easy to put up or down, the radio is good, but the boot is too small for full set of golf clubs.

Watch the petrol consumption around town. I am only getting about 27mpg. Insurance is cheap, though. However, the 1.6 seems underpowered - my old Seat Ibiza was faster!

    My car

Probably the most fun car i have had the pleasure of owning.

Great feed back through the chassis and sharp pin point steering.

Very simple and easy to use soft top, roof can be up in seconds not minutes. Only draw back is the servicing costs if you use a main dealer.

    My car

Fun to drive and reasonably practical for every day use to and from work. Good on longer journeys eg motorway driving. Not at all tiring. Can carry an amazing amount of luggage and/or shopping so long as there is no passenger!

Fun with the top down. Bit skittish on greasy/icy roads but soon back under control. Excellent cornering.

Amazingly economical to run - compares favourably with a "hot-hatch" eg Golf GTi. Insurance much lower than you might expect for a spots car.

    My car

Only the second car I've owned (out of about 10/12 very different cars) that consistently puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!

Great dynamics, a taught chassis and flexible 1.8 engine combined with the low-slung sports car design mean Mazda have achieved "zoom-zoom" enjoyment.

The boot is a practical size for me and it's easily usable as a day-to-day car.

Combine this with Mazda reliability, a great dealer in Alan Gibson of Basingstoke and good residuals, I'm looking forward to at least 3 years of trouble free motoring.

My only complaints will be the very short 9k mile servicing intervals which really are only oil changes except for every 3rd service which should be unecessary with modern engines.
