    My car

At the pump this car seems to cost a lot 60 odd quid for a full top up! But for the thrill the diversity and comfort of the ride, I have to say I am very impressed. So far I have had the car 3 days so my review is some what limited, VW Sales at Heritage of Salisbury was very good! Paper work was explained and the whole experience was very impressive.

In the cabin - everything is clearly marked and set out well, the white instrument lighting is very stylish and gives a sporty feel. The onboard computer is large and provides what seems to be very accurate information, space for rear passengers is very generous and offers good storage. My only gripe is that at 21,000 a multi function steering wheel and MDI as standard would have been nice.

On the road - The DSG 7 speed gear box is quite excellent! Acceleration is very good and allows for very economical driving styles, whilst the sports mode offers a guilty pleasure even for someone who likes to count the pennies. The engine is very quiet and suspension handles very well over pot holes.

Ownership - This has been promised to be good, but what with the advent of electric motors and more economical engines on the horizon I do have to wonder.

Over all I love the Golf Plus SE, it's quite pricey and the competition can offer more bang for the buck. But when your in a VW you feel your wrapped in a protective blanket of security and fun.

    My car

Being an owner of an alfa romeo and a daihatsu I could say that golf plus is a solid car with a nice engine, though not as accelerative as alfa romeo. So far, my 9-month golf plus 122ps is what I paid for: spacious, quite good engine and build quality. However, wind and tyre noise is worse than what I expected for its value. It is not as economical as a daihatsu, it hasn't got the looks of an alfa, but I am a family man with lots to carry safely....
