2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT verdict and specs
Range-topping all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E GT sets its sights on the Tesla Model Y with explosive pace and a host of upgrades...
The Mustang Mach-E GT is available in only one trim, and the only real optional extras you can choose are one of two paint colours and a panoramic sunroof.
Yes, it's the quickest and smoothest-riding Mach-E, with the most pleasant interior and best driving dynamics in the line-up. But then, costing an extra £24,000 over the entry-level model (and £8000 more than the next most expensive Mach-E below it) you would hope that would be the case.
The trouble is, plenty of rivals offer a better all-round package. If you want a rapid EV which is good to drive, the Tesla Model 3 Performance takes some beating. For similar money, a Jaguar I-Pace and BMW iX3 might not be as quick, but feel more polished on the road and more upmarket inside.
