With the larger battery, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron is an excellent long-distance cruiser; range, comfort and refinement all impress. As an estate, though, the BMW i5 Touring and Volkswagen ID 7 Tourer are both more practical.

See full engine specsThis version of the A6 Avant e-tron uses the same 94.9kWh (usable capacity) battery as the cheaper Sport e-tron Performance, but thanks to a second electric motor, it's more powerful, accelerates faster and has four rather than rear-wheel-drive. On the downside, the official range falls to 418 miles.
