Used Audi Q2 2016-present reliability
Category: Small SUV
The stylish Audi Q2 has a classy interior, sharp handling and bold styling, but rear space is a tad tight. Reliability is excellent.

What should I look for in a used Audi Q2 estate?
When viewing a used car, always follow our used car buying checklist.
Being on the smaller side of the SUV spectrum, the Q2 will have been an ideal vehicle for those driving in the city. With that in mind, you’ll need to do all the usual checks for parking dents and scuffs to bumpers. You’ll also need to look for kerb damage to some of the larger alloy wheels fitted to S line and Edition #1 models.
Make sure there are no warning lights on the dashboard, particularly on diesel models equipped with a diesel particulate filter.

Used Audi Q2 reliability: the owners' view
In our latest reliability survey, owners said the Audi Q2 offers a mixed bag for long-term dependability. While the car’s premium build quality is often praised, several owners have reported frustrating faults that tarnish the ownership experience.
The most common issues identified centre around faulty infotainment systems and minor electrical issues, with some owners noting warning lights appearing without clear cause. More concerning are reports of noises from the suspension and occasional gearbox faults on S tronic models. While these aren't always costly to fix if caught under warranty, those with older models found repairs can be expensive once the three-year cover expires.
Feedback on the dealer network is similarly varied. While some found their local dealership quick to fix problems, others complained of long lead times for parts and a perceived lack of urgency when addressing recurring faults.
