The BMW 7 Series is a fine luxury limo with plenty of tech, performance and opulence. It’s worth considering the fully electric BMW i7 though, because that offers even better refinement and much lower tax bills, as do some plug-in hybrids from rival manufacturers.

This trim is specific to the most powerful plug-in hybrid version of the 7 Series. You don’t get much more kit – you’re mostly paying for extra performance – although the M760e does look sportier and comes with larger 21in alloy wheels.

The plug-in hybrid M760e can officially sprint from 0-62mph in just 4.3sec, making it the fastest version of the 7 Series (excluding the fully electric i7 M70). It’s quicker than plug-in hybrid variants of the A8 and S-Class, too, and can officially do 47 miles on pure battery power.
