The model
Read full Citroën Berlingo reviewFor the money the Citroën Berlingo offers unrivalled interior space and a relaxing ride. It's also better-trimmed inside then the Vauxhall Combo Life and slightly nicer to drive than a Peugeot Rifter – cars that are otherwise identical. If you're after something more car-like to drive or plusher, then it's worth looking at the pricier VW Touran, though.
The trim
See full equipmentTop-spec XTR trim has a head-up display, privacy glass, an opening tailgate window, a panoramic sunroof and 17in alloy wheels.
The engine
See full engine specsThe 134bhp electric motor actually manages to keep up with the most potent 1.2-litre petrol-powered Berlingo. Its 0-62mph time of 11.5sec for the five-seater version isn’t exactly thrilling, but it gets off the line smartly and keeps up with regular traffic easily.
