New Citroën C3 Aircross 83kW Standard Range Max 44kWh 5dr Auto Review

The model
Read full reviewSeven seats for a budget price sounds like a great offer on paper. In practice, it's not so hot. The seven-seat version of the Citroën C3 Aircross comes with a relatively small boot, and the fold-out third-row seats aren't really big enough for anyone other than smaller kids, yet they don't have Isofix points. So for a cheap, practical seven-seater, we'd steer you towards the Dacia Jogger instead. The five-seat version of the Citroën C3 Aircross makes more sense. It has a much bigger boot, but there are five-seat rivals that handle better, ride more smoothly, and have better engines – the auto 'box in the Hybrid 145 is particularly jerky and unresponsive. So if you are going to buy a C3 Aircross, make sure to get a good deal and go for the entry-level Turbo 100 Pure trim, which is reasonably well equipped and keeps the cost down.
The trim
See full equipmentMax adds some luxuries like heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a wireless phone charger. It’s worth a look if you have the budget, but it’s not a must-have trim in our opinion.
The engine
See full engine specsThis is currently the only battery and electric motor configuration available with the ë-C3 Aircross – a larger battery with more range is on its way. Its 111bhp means the ë-C3 Aircross is slow by electric car standards, plus its range of 188 miles might not suit lots of families.
