The model
Read full reviewThe Cupra Born takes all the good bits from the class-leading Volkswagen ID.3 and adds a slightly more polished interior and an upgraded infotainment system. The trim
See full equipmentEntry-level V1 gets broadly the same kit as an ID.3 Life, with the major differentiation being that 18in alloys and a back-up camera are standard, whereas the latter only has steel wheels and sensors. The Born is a little odd in not having heated front seats as standard, though.
The engine
See full engine specsThis is the pick of the Born range, being the best all-rounder. Low-speed performance is the same on paper as the lower-powered 110kW option, but the added muscle gets the Born up to motorway speeds far more effortlessly, with 201bhp on tap and a 0-62mph time of 7.3sec.
