What should I look for in a used Mazda CX-3 hatchback?
By its very nature, the CX-3 will have been used in tight urban spaces and multi-story car parks, so check the bodywork carefully for any scuffs and dents. Also check the wheels for any kerb damage, the condition of the folding rear seats and the tailgate operation.
On the whole, the CX-3 enjoys a good reliability record, with few specific problems. In our most recent reliability survey, it finished in fifth place in the small SUV class, with an excellent overall score of 88%. Owners reported small niggles only, mostly relating to non-engine electrics and centring on the sat-nav and the climate control. All problems were fixed within a week and under warranty. Mazda as a brand finished 16th out of 32 manufacturers in the same survey, with an overall score of 78%.
