Land Rover has entered three of its concept Range_e cars for this year's Future Car Challenge.

The Range_e is a plug-in hybrid Range Rover Sport that showcases the hybrid diesel powertrain expected to be offered in the next Range Rover, due in 2013.

The car is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine and a 69kW motor. It can travel for 20 miles on electric power only and overall carbon dioxide emissions are just 89g/km.
