Used test: Hyundai Kona Electric vs Vauxhall Mokka-e vs Volkswagen ID 3 verdict

With savings of around £10,000 off new, each of these two-year-old electric cars could be considered incredibly tempting buys. Which is best deserving of esteem, though? We find out...

New Vauxhall Mokka-e and Hyundai Kona Electric vs Volkswagen ID.3 rears

Our verdict

Quiet, comfortable and well equipped, the Vauxhall Mokka-e is a pleasant car to live with, but it's lacklustre range and performance means it can't be considered a class leader. Its faster rate of depreciation amongst its rivals is somewhat concerning, too.

With superior range and performance, as well as similarly good levels of kit, the Hyundai Kona Electric jumps into second. This leaves the Volkswagen ID 3. It takes the victory, because it’s easily the quickest and best to drive of our trio. It also has the longest range and the roomiest interior.
