The Rapid is a good-value package. It doesn't cost much to buy and the engines don't use too much fuel. Other running costs are also competitive, although some rivals emit less CO2 so are more appealing to company car drivers.
Skoda Rapid quality & reliability
It’s inside where Skoda’s cost-conscious development is most obvious – the simple appearance and back-to-basics nature of the cabin see to that. However, despite the wide use of hard plastic and occasionally flimsy/flexible materials, it’s all well assembled. We have no concerns about the car’s future reliability: it’s built from tried and tested parts, and Skoda scored very highly in the latest JD Power customer satisfaction survey.
Skoda Rapid safety & security
The Rapid earned the maximum five stars in Euro NCAP crash test results. Every version also comes with six airbags, stability control and Isofix child seat mounting points, although many rivals have more. Also, most of the high-tech safety equipment offered in other family cars isn't available, even as an option. Security kit includes an alarm and remote central locking.
