The Smart #3 is a very fine electric car – especially when you factor in the price. It's good to drive, has a respectable range between charges and is even pretty practical. We reckon the Premium version makes the most sense.

The flagship model has a sportier look than other versions, with larger 20in alloy wheels, red exterior trim highlights, Brabus badging and grippy suede-like material on the steering wheel and seats. Available only with a 422bhp twin motor powertrain.

This is the most powerful version of the #3. With four-wheel drive, a power output of 422bhp and 430lb ft of torque, it can do 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 112mph.
