Used BMW M3 Coupe 2000 - 2006

You're buying a strong combination of awesome performance and day-to-day practicality

Used BMW M4 2014-2020

The first-generation M4 is supercar-fast and every bit as goodto drive as the four-door M3, but it’s a little less practical.

Used BMW M5 2011-2016

The BMW M5 is a humdinger of a sports saloon and a towering achievement, with huge speed and a luxurious interior

Used BMW X1 2009-2015

The BMW X1's low running costs and composure in bends are appealing, but other small SUVs are classier

Used BMW X1 2015-2022

Thanks to its high-quality interior, fine handling and good reliability record, a used BMW X1 is a great choice.

Used BMW X1 2022-present

The BMW X1 is a spacious and practical family SUV, but there are cheaper and more comfortable used alternatives

Used BMW X2 2018-present

A classy interior and tidy handling mark the X2 out, but its ride is firm and others are more practical.

Used BMW X3 2004 - 2011

The X3 is a roomy 4x4 with an excellent blend of performance and driver appeal, but is hampered by a poor ride and build quality concerns

Used BMW X3 2010-2018

The second iteration of the BMW X3 is good to drive, well-equipped and has a classy interior – it's a good used buy.

Munich-based BMW is most famous for its sports saloons, in particular the 3 Series and 5 Series. However, it actually builds almost every type of car imaginable: everything from small coupés to seven-seat MPVs.

The cheapest model in the BMW range is the 1 Series hatchback, which is a rival to the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz A-Class and Volkswagen Golf. Meanwhile, at the other extreme is the X7 luxury SUV, which can easily cost more than £100,000.

BMW was also quick to capitalise on the rise of the SUV and now has more than ten in its range, covering petrol, diesel, electric and plug-in hybrid power options.

All of this makes it one of the big three German prestige brands, along with Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
