Which used Jaguar XF saloon should I buy?
The least powerful diesel Jaguar XF, the 163, can feel a little short on power – you often find yourself having to wring its neck if you want to go anywhere quickly. Meanwhile, the petrol versions and the higher-powered diesel are too thirsty (and too expensive to tax) to really be able to justify unless performance is a priority for you.
Consequently, we’re left with the 2.0d 180 as our engine of choice. We’d team that with Prestige specification – it’s one of the most popular, therefore it’s easy to find, and even though it’s the entry-level version, you still get a heap of standard equipment.
