The model
Read full Kia Niro reviewThis second-generation Kia Niro Hybrid shows a lot of promise. It's competitively priced, generously equipped, spacious inside and economical on fuel. The PHEV model rides a little firmer and is more expensive to buy outright, but its reduced running costs and ability to travel for longer on electric power mean it’s definitely still worth considering.
The trim
See full equipmentThis range-topping trim gets you loads of kit, including a sunroof, an electric tailgate, heated seats in the front and back, and a heated steering wheel. It’s also the only Niro EV trim available with funky contrast colour rear pillars. It’s very pricey, though.
The engine
See full engine specsSlightly quicker than the Niro Hybrid but still out performed by many rivals, including the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid – not only for acceleration but electric only range, which is officially 38 miles. Impressive tax breaks for the PHEV make it a very cheap company car option.
