Kia Sportage 1.6T GDi PHEV GT-Line 5dr Auto AWD Review

The model
Read full reviewThe Kia Sportage is a great all-round family SUV that offers a generous amount of space for four and in the boot, with one of best interiors in its class. The Sportage still makes the most sense if you stick with the lower trim levels, but despite the Hyundai Tucson being a slightly cheaper route into a hybrid family SUV, we reckon the Sportage is the slightly more polished alternative.
The trim
See full equipmentThe sportiest trim level in the range comes with larger 19in wheels, privacy glass, a larger 12.3in touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, keyless ignition, driver's lumbar support, part-suede seats and gloss-black exterior finishes.
The engine
See full engine specsThis plug-in hybrid pairs the 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol engine with an electric motor and a larger 13.8kWh battery. This should be good enough to drive on electric power alone for most short commutes of over 35 miles. Combined power output is higher than the HEV at 261bhp and this is four-wheel drive only.
