If you're looking for the most practical estate, you'll be better off looking at the Skoda Superb, but against the Audi A4 Avant and Volvo V60, the C-Class stacks up rather well. It can’t quite match the driving fun of the best in class though, and a disappointing step down in interior quality means we’d recommend the BMW 3 Series Touring overall.
