Used Mercedes S-Class 2021-present reliability
Category: Luxury car
The Mercedes S-Class has a stunning interior, sublime comfort and staggering tech. It's still pricey, though, even used.

What should I look for in a used Mercedes S-Class saloon?
When viewing a used car, always follow our used car buying checklist.
Being a big car, you'll want to pay close attention to the body work and the wheels for kerbing. Take it for a test drive and keep an eye out for any indications that it isn't mechanically sound, especially if the S-Class in question has done a lot of miles.
Euro NCAP has not yet tested the S-Class for safety, but you do get loads of safety equipment as standard. That includes automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane-keeping assistance (to make sure you stay within the white lines on the road) and blind-spot monitoring that can warn you of approaching traffic as you open the doors.
If you opt for Premium Plus trim, the front seats can push you towards the centre of the car in the event of a side collision.
