As the brand that's considered to be the founding father of green motoring, it's no surprise that the future for Toyota – as well as its luxury arm Lexus – is all about hybrid and electric cars.
The changing pace of technology means that both Japanese brands will soon be able to offer you more flavours of electrified motoring, in more styles and shapes, than ever before. In fact, before the ban on new petrol and diesel cars sales in the UK in 2030, Toyota and Lexus are planning to bring eight new models to market, and all of them are either hybrids, plug-in hybrids or fully electric cars.
