Jaguar XJ updated for 2016

The Jaguar XJ executive saloon has been updated, with the 2016 model year version reaching the UK this autumn.

What is it?

Jaguar's luxury saloon, which has been updated for the 2016 model year. On the outside, the updated XJ comes with new LED headlights, but it's on the inside where the biggest changes have been made.

As well as new leather trim, the XJ also comes with Jaguar's InControl Touch Pro infotainment system.

What engines can I choose from?

Jaguar has upgraded the XJ's staple 3.0-litre V6 engine, so that it now produces 296bhp, but also offers lower CO2 emissions than the current model, at 149g/km.

Elsewhere, the XJ's 5.0-litre V8 and 225bhp V6 engine options remain unchanged.

How much equipment does it come with?

Standard equipment on the XJ is impressive, but joining the updated line-up are two new models.

First is top-level Autobiography trim, which costs from £80,250. For that, owners get a long-wheelbase XJ with 20-inch alloy wheels, quilted leather seats and a new rear entertainment system.

Also new to the range is the XJ R-Sport. Priced from £71,625, it comes with minor bodywork updates including a new rear spoiler, sports seats and bespoke cabin trim.

How much will it cost?

The MY16 Jaguar XJ is priced from £58,690, with prices rising to £100,000 for a top-spec model. The full price list is included below.
