MG GS vs Suzuki Vitara

MG has bulked out its range with the GS SUV, but how does it compare with the great-value Suzuki Vitara?...

MG GS vs Suzuki Vitara

Our verdict

The new MG GS has its strengths; it’s roomy enough in the back to keep tall adults comfortable and its boot is large enough to deal with the whole family’s luggage. Considering the price, it’s also pretty nippy.

However, Suzuki’s experience wins the day. The Vitara, while not quite as spacious as the GS, is still a practical family car. It’s also far better to drive and is cheaper to own, no matter how you’re buying. As an added bonus, it’s also better equipped in mid-level SZ-T trim.
