Porsche 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition becomes most expensive 911
Limited-edition model based on 911 GT3 Touring built to celebrate UK anniversary...

It’s not uncommon to find people treating themselves to a birthday present, and Porsche is no different. Indeed, to celebrate its 75th birthday in the UK, the Porsche 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition is arriving – and it’ll become the most expensive 911 currently on sale.
It’s based on the 911 GT3 Touring Package, and is inspired by the classic 356 coupé first shown at the 1951 Earls Court motor show. And fittingly, just 51 will be built.
The Earls Court 51 Edition features a specially developed green paint which matches the 1951 show car, along with a two-tone green and beige leather and corduroy interior. The dash, doors, centre console and front seat backs are fitted with wood veneer, and there’s a wooden gearknob, too.

It carries bespoke badging, but options are limited to a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes and a leather-trimmed front luggage compartment.
Other accessories supplied include a matching Porsche Design watch, leather overnight bag, 1:18 scale model and a commemorative book.
Despite its huge £251,951 asking price – a hefty £93,751 increase over the regular GT3 Touring – the Earls Court 51 Edition is mechanically identical, meaning it features a 503bhp 4.0-litre engine driving the rear wheels. With the PDK automatic gearbox fitted, it can accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.4sec and achieve a top speed of 193mph.
The Earls Court 51 Edition will make its public debut at the Icons of Porsche event at Silverstone this weekend.
