The 109,000 Corvette

General Motors has announced a price that's as eye-watering as the performance levels of its 206mph Corvette ZR1 - 109,000.

Powered by a 638bhp 6.2-litre V8 there's no denying the car is fast, although its price-tag will put it head-to-head with more exotic supercar machinery.

However, it will have rarity value only two cars will be brought to the UK this year, fewer than 10 next year and never more than 20.

Buyers will also receive advanced driver training, a three-year/60,000 mile warranty and three years roadside assistance.

Oh, and if you can face the logistics of importing a car you might also be tempted by the ZR1's asking price in the USA - $105,000 or around 60,000.
