Used test: BMW iX3 vs Jaguar I-Pace verdict
These electric SUVs, when bought at two years old, come with incredible savings of around £15,000 each. But which should you buy? We have the answer...
Our verdict
Despite being the first electric SUVs to come out of these brands, the BMW iX3 and Jaguar I-Pace were incredibly accomplished at launch, and they still are. To answer one of our original questions, yes, these are good buys – five-star buys, in fact.
In terms of which one you should choose, it's a close one. Put your foot down and the I-Pace has much more, well, pace. It also has a superior range. The iX3's performance and range is far from underwhelming, though, and it's the more enjoyable car to drive, not to mention it's more practical and has a faster rapid charging rate. As a result, the iX3 has the winning edge.
