Used test: Skoda Kamiq vs Volkswagen T-Cross: verdict

These used small SUVs both give you practicality and style for a very affordable price, but which is best?...

Skoda Kamiq vs Volkswagen T-Cross

Our verdict

As you might imagine with two such closely related cars, the final result is very close.

If you like the raised-up driving position that SUVs offer, the T-Cross is for you, because you sit much higher than you do in the low-slung Kamiq. The T-Cross is also more refined on motorways and has adaptive cruise control to take some of the stress out of long journeys. Indeed, if you were to put a used T-Cross on your driveway, we reckon you'd be very happy with it.

But for us, the Kamiq is the better all-rounder on the road, because it handles better and is more comfortable. It also offers a more upmarket interior and is more spacious. The fact that it should work out cheaper to run seals its victory.
