The model
Read full reviewThe 408 is pleasant inside and fairly well equipped. The closely-related Citroën C5 X is more comfortable and cheaper to buy, but the plug-in hybrid 408's slightly longer electric range makes it a better choice for company car buyers.
The trim
See full equipmentRange-topping GT trim is the most expensive in the line-up, but does get a lot of (non-essential) luxuries. That includes a heated steering wheel, a power-assisted tailgate, matrix LED headlights, fancier materials inside and ambient interior lighting.
The engine
See full engine specsThis is the cheapest way into the 408. It offers a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 128bhp, and having driven this engine in the Citroën C5 X we suspect this is the version to recommend unless you're a company car users. In the C5X, it’s punchy enough and relatively frugal.
