Section: Version review
The model
Read full Renault Captur reviewThe Renault Captur is well priced, comfortable, has a great infotainment system and is one of few small SUVs with sliding rear seats. It’s only average to drive though, and interior quality could be better. So far, we've driven the hybrid version, but the cheaper TCe 90 petrol is likely to offer better value. Mid-spec Techno is our pick of the trims.
The trim
See full equipmentThis top-spec trim adds special styling, a revised Eco mode and unique 18in alloy wheels. As with R.S Line trim, it’s too expensive to recommend.
The engine
See full engine specsThis 141bhp 1.6-litre hybrid is much more expensive than the regular petrol, and the way it delivers its power is slightly inconsistent. We don't think it's worth the extra, even though it offers much better fuel economy.
