Review

Long verdict – Stylish, practical and good value – a fine estate. Go for the 1.5 TSI 130 in SE Technology trim for the best value, or the 1.5 TSI 150 in FR trim for a load-lugger with fun driving manners.

Over FR trim you get 18in wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, suede-effect seats, an electric driver’s seat with memory and adjustable lumbar support for the front passenger. We’d stick to plain FR.

We haven’t tried this engine in the Leon, but we’ll let you know what it’s like as soon as we can.
