    My car

Have owned a 2001/51 since 2003 it had done 18000 miles. Now at 60000 it's still driving very well. My only gripe is the fuel consumption around town, it rarely betters 24mpg however on long journeys it can,if driven with care return up to 40mpg. Handling is incredible for what is really just a family hatch and performs well. Interior is good with everything you really need. If you can put up with the high tax band and insurance cost it's well worth buying this model.

    My car

Ok, I don't own this car myself, but my wife does. It's a nice vehicle to drive, my only niggles are the clutch is a bit "light & airy" and it does tend to under steer a little, but then again, It could be me due to the fact that I'm use to driving a 2.5CRD SE Chrysler Voyager!!! It's cabin space is well defined, Instruments & switched can be seen and reached with ease and the seats and driving position is superb, and it's rear seats offer generous leg room. It has a fair size boot, enough to cope with the weekly shopping!! The 1.6 16v engine packs enough punch to match any rival in it's class and it's looks (even thought the new model/Shape is out)still looks "sharp and crisp" amongst other vehicles on the road. I only have one big problem with this vehicle, and that is I can't get my wife to part with the keys so I can use it more often!!!! I would highly recomend this car.

    My car

i have a 2000 W 1.8 16v zetec focus that has covered 44000, i have had it 12 months and all i can say badly about it is that the boot randomly opens itself when the car doors arnt locked but other than that its great.

Just a notice to other focus owners make sure you have platinum tipped plugs and leads fitted because otherwise it will blow them through in 8000 miles i know it cost me twice!!

Other than that is cheap to run, reliable and cheap to insure. all round a great car

    My car

I own a 1.6L Ford Focus Titanium in black.

We purchased it from new which was the biggest mistake we have ever made with any car. The value of the car has dropped so much that dealers are only offering around £5500 - £6500 for the car, which means we are stuffed on the finance.

Overall he car is a good all rounder performing when you need it. The 1.6 engines are by far more than enough. I have filled the car to the max with people, camping equipment, roof box the lot and still it took us to Cornwall and back performing all the way on the motorway and around town. It gave a good rate of return on the fuel. It is a good-looking car the Titanium gives that little extra feel of a nicer car.

I have had some problem with the car, which I had repaired under; warranty the power steering pump needed changing twice and the electrics on the car shut down after a very heavy rain whilst the car was running.

We are changing the car mainly for the issues with value and finance. But I would recommend a Focus to people but not from new. Buy used all the time
