    My car

It was delivered new in January 2005. Since then I have been struggling to get dealers (two of them) and Nissan UK to recognise that engine performance is less than to be expected from common rail.

Between 1500 and 2500rpm, the knock is pronounced, lessening with temperature increase but always there.

The mpg barely achieves 32mpg, even though 80% of my journeys are 60 motorway miles.

As with one of your previous contributors, I feel that neither Nissan or their dealers have any interest when they have the money. Why are there not better rights for new purchase? If I had bought it secondhand, I could have returned it within 30 days for a refund.

    My car

It's an excellent car, though I have had a problem with a rattling noise at 2,500rpm. The dealer has changed the turbo, but to no avail. The dealer now wants to fit another turbo. I can't believe that this is the problem. Anyone else had this problem?

    My car

This car is fantastic value for money. My wife has an expensive top-of-the-range Rav4 and this beats it in every department.

Mine is actually a company car, this falls in the same range as pretty average Mondeos, Vectras and such like. It passed the biggest test with flying colours - admiring glances from parents and kids when I pick my 12-year-old up from school. The car has street cred too!

It's not as economical as my Passat was, but much more fun to drive, loaded with kit and plenty of space. It has a really good driving position and the controls are light and precise. It hugs the road in 4x4 auto and feels very safe.

I love it. I would recommend it over a Rav4 and Freedlander, both of which I have driven and researched. Mine has been trouble-free since I got it at the turn of the year.

    My car

Simply the best car I have owned. Far, far, far better than my previous unreliable Landrover Freelander.
