The Hybrid 136 engine is available in a host of Stellantis models now but the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida is probably the most interesting. It’s decent to drive and well-priced, although some rivals are more practical and might prove more reliable.
The trim
If you’re after the sportiest Junior, top-spec Veloce is the one that you’ll want to go for. Not only does this get the most powerful motor, it also adds a host of performance upgrades including a mechanical limited slip differential and lowered suspension.
The engine
The most powerful version of the Junior gets 278bhp and feels much quicker than the entry-level version, cutting acceleration times but also reducing the range to just 215 miles.
