Not the roomiest estate in the world, but if you just need a bit more practicality than the saloon offers, it's a great buy. It's fantastic to drive and smart inside, with the best infotainment system in its class.

This trim level adds some sporty styling and a stiffer ‘M Sport’ suspension setup. We recommend going for this and adding the optional M Sport Pro pack because the adaptive suspension it adds makes it the most comfortable version of the 3 Series.

The perky 181bhp 320i is an excellent option if you don’t fancy a diesel or have the option to plug-in very often. Its rev-happy nature sits well with the 3 Series' sporty character.
