The Grand C-Max gives you an elevated driving position and loads of seat- and steering wheel adjustment. However, thick windscreen pillars can obscure your view through bends. The rotary heater controls are simple to use, but some of the buttons for other systems are rather fiddly.
Ford Grand C-Max space & practicality
The Grand C-Max is 140mm longer than the standard car, which has allowed Ford to squeeze in an extra pair of seats that fold up from the boot floor. Its middle row is made up of two full-sized seats that slide back and forth independently, and a smaller central seat that can folded away when you’re only carrying six. This system means the central seat is narrow, but it lets you walk between the second and third rows. Sliding rear doors improve access in tight spaces.
Ford Grand C-Max equipment
Even the cheaper Zetec cars come with alloy wheels, air-conditioning, Bluetooth, a heated windscreen and a digital radio. Upgrading to Titanium trim adds a premium Sony stereo, automatic headlights and wipers, cruise control, climate control and keyless start. Titanium X adds a powered driver's seat.
