The MG ZS EV is roomy, well equipped and extremely well priced. The entry-level SE is the one to go for because of its mix of low costs, range and equipment, but if you need to do lots of longer journeys, consider the Long Range SE.
The trim
On top of everything you get with SE trim, Trophy adds artificial leather seats, heated in the front and with electric adjustment for the driver, a heated steering wheel, bigger 18in alloys and tinted rear windows.
The engine
As it stands, the MG ZS is only offered in hybrid form. Acceleration is surprisingly nippy (0-62mph in 8.7 seconds) and official fuel economy is 55.4mpg.
